Stupid illness. Confines me to my home all day (not that I'd do anything else anyhow, but it took away the option to have anything else to do!) I feel like crap today. That's the update.

Sleep (yeah, again)

So I'm going through my insomniatic period for the year (it seems my life requires one once a year), and I've come to the conclusion that sleep is a complete waste of time. I mean, when we're not sleeping, we're tired. And if we sleep too much, we feel like we're wasting our lives (which in actuality is not far from the truth!). It's a real lose lose situation. Life requries too much sleep. We should all just go on a sleep strike. Of course, I'm really just trying to convince other people to have insomnia so I have someone to talk to when I can't sleep...

Who needs sleep

Well, I just went to bed at four, then woke up at six, and it's now seven and I'm sitting here online not even feeling tired again. Stupid periodic insomnia. Anyhow, I saw They Might Be Giants last night at one of the free concert series around here (the 99 X one). It was pretty awesome. Lots of songs I recognized, lots I didn't. And SR-71 to top it off. They sucked live, but they were still there. They Might Be Giants was the real highlight. Of course, I managed to get next to the goth stoners, who had no idea what the hell was going on when TMBG started breaking out the accordions and stuff. Those kids tried to start a mosh pit.... to TMBG. It just doesn't work. At all. So when that didn't work, they all lit up their joints and started making out a lot. It was pretty annoying. But anyhow, I still got to see the show I went to see, even if they didn't.

An update (surprised? I am)

Ok, well, since I recently remembered I had one of these, I thought I'd start attempting to post to it. So yeah, I think everyone has their days when they wish they didn't live at home. Coming home from the dorm for the summer has been... painful, to say the least. I do hours of chores every day now that I'm home. Yardwork, cleaning rooms no one has seen for years, cleaning out a garage for my mom to park in (which she still doesn't do, mind you) and all this for absolutely nothing. All the while, I get pestered about why I don't do anything, or have a job or anything. Sometimes, I feel like saying "because I don't have money to go out and do anything with, and I don't have time after all these chores you have me doing."<br /><br />Well, I'm pretty much done venting now. Other than that... well, as should be apparent by the post above, I don't really do a whole lot nowadays. So, there ya' go, I guess. You're all caught up.

Yup

Yeah, so I was sitting around, 2:00, middle of the night, not really doing anything. And I was like, "Hey, I have one of those Live Journal things, I should post on it." So I did

So yeah...

So yeah, I don't really know much about this live journal stuff. I'm working on it a bit, but pretty much it'll be a while before I get everything how I want it. If anyone happens to stumble across this journal (unlikely, as I'm not really networked too well), this probably looks pretty incomplete. And they'd be right. This is pretty incomplete. Now I'm obviously not saying much here, which is fairly typical of me, as any of my friends will tell you, so I'll quit ranting and let you go about looking at entries in journals more relevant to... well, anything at all, really.

A first posting

Yes indeed folks, a new Live Journal in the making. This is the first post to this new live journal. Let's hope itl's not the last.... because it's the first. And that would make a realy short journal.
